Community Resources

SDG&E has energy bill discount programs that you might qualify for.
  • Customers enrolled in the California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) Program receive at least a 20% discount on their bill every month. CARE customers also receive a lower rate for their electricity use. In order to qualify, your household's income cannot exceed the total household income levels designated for the CARE Program.
  • Customers enrolled in the Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) Program are billed at a lower rate for electricity within certain levels of usage. The FERA Program is only open to households with three (3) or more. Your total household income must be within the income range listed for the FERA Programs.
