The SOL Study Continues!

Thank you for having made the Hispanic Community Health Study / Study of Latinos (HCHS / SOL) a major success. With your help we have been able to find out about the factors that influence diseases such as stroke, diabetes, lung and heart diseases in Hispanic. Because your contribution to our understanding of health and illness in the Hispanic community was so successful, the National Institutes of Health has renewed the study. We need your continued support as a valued participant. We would therefore like you to participate in a second visit that will last 3 to 4 hours at no cost and may include health tests such as:

  • Echocardiogram
  • Blood Pressure
  • Blood sugar test for diabetes
  • Cholesterol test and other blood fats assessment
  • Weight, height and body fat assessment
  • Kidney Function Test
  • Health Questionnaires

The study continues! Your participation helps the understanding and improvement of Hispanic/Latino health.
